Chinyama Tembo – Managing Consultant
Chinyama is a Fellow of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accounts and Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. She also has a Master’s in Business Administration from Manchester University in the United Kingdom. She is a Tax Director at Mozi Consulting Limited and has been with the firm for 1 year. She is responsible for the firm’s accounting and compliance practices.
Chinyama has served as a member of the Finance & Administration Committee of the Board of the National Technology Business Centre. She also held high-ranking positions such as Head of Tax and Treasury at Zamtel and Tax & Treasury Manager at Airtel. These positions have given her practical experience in implementing and monitoring finance and tax transformation in large companies and effectively overseeing project implementation that ranges from IT- Infrastructure migration to tax transaction mapping in the era of changes in the legal or legislative environment.
Since 2017 Chinyama has worked on several challenging assignments including conducting a tax health check at AFGRI Corporation; JTI Leaf Zambia; Smartnet Technologies and Investrust Bank Zambia Plc. Chinyama was also a key team member of consultants that undertook due diligence of the Zambia National Commercial Bank on behalf of a multi-national financial institution that proposed to acquire the 49% shares offered by the Government of the Republic of Zambia. The due diligence covered aspects relating to the value, profitability, human resource, competitiveness, IT infrastructure, taxation status, and general financial viability and also conducted tax status reviews in Zambia Sugar Plc, Mpongwe Development Corporation Limited and was the consultant in charge of tax compliance issues at Professional Insurance Corporation Zambia when she worked for Deloitte & Touche.
Chinyama also worked as a Tax Consultant at Pricewaterhouse Coopers where she was responsible for several tax compliance assignments such as tax computations for small and medium-sized organizations. Before accepting this job, Chinyama worked as a VAT Inspector for 3 years at the Zambia Revenue Authority where her responsibilities included investigating and checking VAT returns to ensure that they were correctly completed, assisting VAT-registered businesses to complete VAT returns, correcting errors on the returns, and preparation of debt management control and monitoring reports.
Chinyama’s role will be to assume overall Project Management responsibility for your complete satisfaction with our involvement in undertaking this assignment. She will also participate in senior-level meetings and provide quality assurance on our deliverables.

Mohammed Mulenga – Consultant
Mohammed is a Fellow of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accounts, an Associate of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, and a candidate for the Master of Philosophy in Taxation Law with the University of Lusaka. He is the Managing Consultant at Mozi Consulting Limited and has been with the firm for 10 years. As the person responsible for the Consulting practice, he has provided quality
assurance on several challenging assignments including surveys, monitoring and evaluation, institutional development, organizational restructuring, strategic planning, and human capital consultancy.
Mohammed has overseen assignments in public sector performance improvement and has almost 10 years of consulting experience in both the public and private sectors. He led the recent Transfer pricing documentation exercise at African Life Financial Services and various transfer pricing advisory services for Japanese Tobacco International Leaf company in Zambia on issues such as thin capitalization and
structuring of group loans. He was also the lead consultant on the restructuring of the African Life Group and the alignment of the group structure to relevant transfer pricing legislation.
Mohammed is a senior-level management consultant with over 10 years of experience
assisting large, public sector organizations with improving their performance. His experience includes strategy setting, organizational design, process re-engineering, and large-scale systems implementations.
Mohammed’s qualifications encompass all major corporate areas, including information management and technology; corporate and business planning; financial management and reporting; human resources and payroll; procurement and inventory management; and policy development and coordination.
Mohammed is the first Zambian to author a 1,300 Tax reference Manual in Zambian tax law entitled: Taxation in Zambia- Law and Practice. He has also written three Academic Taxation books for the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants and other local accounting qualifications. Mohammed’s role is to provide guidance and direction for the team as well as to review the work of the project team and ensure deliverables are on time.
Zibenji is an accountant in charge of management and financial accounting, VAT Compliance, and Bookkeeping. She is a graduate of the Association of Accounting Technician Diploma (“AAT”) and has over 4 years of experience in accounting and finance. She has a good working knowledge of Computers including Excel and Word processing. Zibenji has worked as an Accounts Assistant at Zesco Limited where her
responsibilities included:
▪ Bank and Cashbook Reconciliations;
▪ Receiving Cash from customers;
▪ Maintenance of petty cash;
▪ Maintenance of books of accounts up to trial balance;
▪ Verifying payments;
▪ Validation of inputs;
▪ Preparing terminal benefits;
▪ Filing documents;
▪ Preparation and inputting of payrolls;
▪ Updating and reconciling the debtors’ ledger; and
▪ Debt collection.

Tiami JM Tembo

Tiami is a fresh graduate from Cyprus International University. Before starting University she was career driven and pursued this by joining Unifi Zambia. She worked as a Call Centre agent for seven months.  Tiami’s responsibilities included data entry, sending reminders to customers to ensure they make loan repayments on time, and providing guidance to customers on applications for soft loans and salary advances.

Tiami completed her degree in Bachelors of Accounting and finance having graduated as a high honour’s student. After completing her studies and in the course of looking for a job, she ventured into a small business as she waited to travel home from Cyprus. She successfully operated a small money lending business selling foreign currency of Turkish lira in exchange for Nigerian naira which generated profits for her.

On her return to Zambia Tiami worked as an intern at Dachida Zambia being responsible for data entry, invoicing, preparation of VAT return schedules, submission of VAT returns to ZRA via the Tax Online System. 

Tiami is responsible for payment of invoices using the company’s Internet banking platform.  Other major assignments include opening of company bank accounts, and liaising with PACRA for submission of company documents including filing company Annual Returns. In addition, Tiami also captures invoices and all expense related information for the accountants to prepare the financial statements.

Currently Tiami is attached to Centre for Civil Society of Poverty Reduction in Zambia where she works on donor-funded projects. She undertakes a number of accounting functions including bank reconciliations, processing of payments in Surge accounting, preparation of donor-funded project accounts etc.
